Emeka Okereke

Nigeria

The Invisible Borders project, directed by Emeka Okereke, is about a road trip taken by Nigerian photographers and writers who, joined by other artists, set out from Lagos to travel across Africa, participating in various photographic events, festivals, and exhibitions.

During stops along the way, the artists develop photographic, video, and text works that address the notion of the border and the theme of separation between countries on the African continent, while at the same time reflecting on their interactions with local artists, cultural operators and residents. A book with the photographic works as well as essays shall be published at the end of the project in conjunction with a feature-length documentary film.
